Ultra-low Ambient Temp VFD Cascade High Temp Heat Pump Unit

The air source cascade heat pump couples two independent refrigeration cycles through an intermediate heat exchanger, enabling step-by-step heat transfer. This design overcomes the limitations of single-stage systems under low ambient temperature and high water temperature conditions such as excessive compression ratio, high discharge temperature, and low volumetric efficiency. It ensures stable hot water output of up to 80°C (with R134a) or 95°C (with R515B) even in extremely cold climates as low as -35°C, offering wide applicability.

 

Operating Principle

The air source cascade heat pump is mainly composed of two independent systems: a low-temperature stage and a high-temperature stage. The evaporator of the low-temperature stage absorbs heat from the air and transfers it to the high-temperature stage via an intermediate evaporator-condenser. The high-temperature stage then exchanges this heat with the water medium through its condenser, thereby achieving high-temperature hot water or heating supply.
